Overview
The ESP32-WROVER-E Development Board is a powerful, feature-rich microcontroller board designed by Espressif Systems. It is built around the ESP32-D0WD-V3 SoC, featuring a dual-core 32-bit Xtensa LX6 processor. A defining feature of the WROVER series is the inclusion of an additional 8 MB of SPI PSRAM (Pseudo-static RAM) alongside standard flash memory, making it ideal for memory-intensive applications such as audio streaming, AI/ML edge processing, and complex web servers.
The board includes an integrated USB-to-UART bridge (Silicon Labs CP2102), Micro-USB connector for power and programming, onboard reset (EN) and boot buttons, status LEDs, and breadboard-friendly GPIO headers. It seamlessly supports Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth (v4.2 BR/EDR and BLE) connectivity.
